Today I had a situation to change the Primary Google Account in my android powered Motorola Fire XT . When I selected the option to Remove the Primary GMAIL email ID associated with my android mobile I found doing it not an easy job since error was “”.have you faced the same issue then don’t worry solution is here.

Change the Primary Google Account in Android Mobile without Factory Reset

This method is simple but it requires the Superuser Permission (Root Access) to begin the process.I have no idea to remove it without root access.

  • I hope you installed Root Explorer application in your android if not then Install it from Google’s Play Store.
  • Now open the Root Explorer and find for the file accounts.db by the path data/system .
  • The accounts.db is a database file which has the Primary and other account information associated with your Android phone.
  • If you find the file then delete and reboot your phone.
When the file is successfully deleted then the Primary Google Account associated with the Android mobile is also deleted. After you reboot the phone Add new Primary Account through the Settings option.
Kindly keep in mind this method supports only on Rooted Android mobiles.Doing this method instead of Factory Resetting of your phone helps to prevent from the loss of your Personal data and applications installed in Android.
